Virtual Report Launch: Political Participation of Persons with Psychosocial or Intellectual Disabilities
Please join us for the pre-launch of a new publication regarding the participation of persons with intellectual or psychosocial disabilities in all stages of the political life, particularly focusing on the electoral process on.

The guidance is developed by UNDP, in partnership with Inclusion International and with funding from the UN Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Multi Partner Trust Fund (UNPRPD MPTF).

The guidance is designed to be a practical tool for a number of stakeholders including governments, election management bodies, organizations of persons with disabilities, civil society organizations, and electoral assistance providers, to promote and support full participation of people with intellectual or psychosocial disabilities in political life. Based on a principle of Nothing About Us Without Us it has been developed through focus groups around the world, as well as desk research on the requirements of the CRPD and other international standards.

The event will be held virtually on Zoom Webinar on Thursday 17 June 2021 at 11:30-12:45 EST.

The session will be held in English and feature simultaneous interpretation to Spanish and French. Captioning will be available.
