Global launch of Human Development Report 2021/22 - “Uncertain Times, Unsettled Lives: Shaping our Future in a World in Transformation”

Set to be released on 8 September, the 2021/22 Human Development Report (HDR), “Uncertain Times, Unsettled Lives: Shaping our Future in a Transforming World,” is the final installment in a trilogy of reports. The upcoming HDR examines how inequalities and uncertainty are reinforcing one another to drive polarization and undermine our sense of control over our lives. But crucially, this report is also about opportunity. It argues that in the end, working towards shared goals and doubling down on human development are critical to creating a future in which we can all thrive, however uncertain.

El Informe sobre Desarrollo Humano (IDH) 2021/22, “Tiempos inciertos, vidas inestables: configurar nuestro futuro en un mundo en transformación”, que se publicará el 8 de septiembre, es la última entrega de una trilogía de informes. El IDH examina cómo las desigualdades y la incertidumbre se refuerzan entre sí causando polarización y afectando el sentido de control sobre nuestras vidas. Pero este informe también trata sobre oportunidades. Argumenta que, al final, trabajar hacia objetivos compartidos y redoblar esfuerzos para expandir el desarrollo humano son fundamentales para crear un futuro que –aunque incierto—permita que todos podamos prosperar.

Le Rapport mondial sur le développement humain (HDR) 2021/2022, « Temps incertains, vies bouleversées : façonner notre avenir dans un monde en mutation », dont la publication est prévue le 8 septembre prochain, est le dernier volet d’une trilogie de rapports. Le HDR analyse comment les inégalités et l’incertitude se renforcent mutuellement conduisant à la polarisation et à la diminution du sentiment de contrôle sur nos vies. Ce rapport est aussi, et surtout, une question d'opportunités. Il affirme qu'en fin de compte, il est essentiel de travailler à la réalisation d'objectifs communs et de redoubler d'efforts en matière de développement humain pour créer un avenir dans lequel nous pourrons tous prospérer, malgré l'incertitude.
