This webinar is part of a four-part webinar series and will explore the state of migrant-centric, gender-responsive remittances and financial services in Bangladesh—coinciding with the publication of the Inclusive Innovation Country Assessment for Bangladesh. The findings from the report will inform the financial sector about interventions to enable inclusive innovation across the key components of the remittance value chain and how to offer financial products and services that are trusted and valued by migrants and their families, helping further deepen the financial sector in Bangladesh.
The webinar will offer a common platform and present an opportunity for all key stakeholders to come together and deliberate upon, in light of the Inclusive Innovation Framework, the following:
1. What are some of the key areas of interest/concern, with respect to remittances and linked financial products, that can be addressed by leveraging the Inclusive Innovation Framework?
2. What are some of the specific recommendations, from the Bangladesh Country Assessment Report, that can be driven by the private sector financial services players in the country with an objective to deliver impact in 6-9 months?
3. What is the nature and required level of support required from the regulator, Bangladesh Bank, to help the private sector achieve the above?
The webinar is from 16:00 to 17:30, Bangladesh Standard Time.
